About Karen
Karen Fischberg is an artist in Milwaukee, WI creating paintings, drawings and prints. She explores the many facets of the environment and her personal relationship with nature. Her main body of work is of landscape paintings in the studio and en plein air. These works are made in oil paints, gouache and watercolor. Much of her other work continues the theme of nature with drawings and paintings that focus on disappearing landscapes, native plants and creating abstract images that combine human and botanical forms. These works demonstrate the intertwined relationship between humans and nature. Though nature may thrive without the human presence, we are entirely reliant upon nature and the many gifts it provides.
